It’s that time of year again… and all the buzz is about giving.
Whether that giving is for close family and friends, or for colleagues, the holiday season is brimming with bellies full of treats and shopping carts with gifts galore. It’s also a time when many people look to their communities to give back. At Experience, we make the most of this “season of giving” because it’s something we hold close in our company culture and commit to throughout the entire year.
We’re fortunate to have an amazing team that’s dedicated to giving back to our Atlanta community in many ways. This year, over 82% of our employees participated in one or more of our Treasure events (our aptly named charity initiative that meets regularly to plan and execute giving events). That says a lot about our culture… we work hard, but we play hard… and we love sharing that spirit in our giving, no matter what time of year it is!
Our Treasure Team focuses on creating volunteer and community giveback opportunities. More than 82% of employees participated in our Treasure program during 2019 and 62% donated food or money to one of our many charities.
Beyond the holiday season, we work with many organizations year-round and are always looking for ways to support a variety of programs, whether that be packing thousands of meals for a food bank or painting dozens of faces for a community holiday party.
What does a year of giving look like? Our team is passionate about the different organizations we support, which is why we’re excited to share a few of the highlights from our year below, as well as some of the incredible victories our team members helped make happen!
“Treasure is such a great way to give back to the community and spend time with your coworkers who also volunteer at events. It’s an awesome opportunity to live our company values in the community and give back at the same time. Having an organization that is truly dedicated to giving back to the community is what makes me proud to work at Experience!”

Our 2019 Year of Giving
Atlanta Community Food Bank (February)
Experience held a canned food drive during the month of February to donate to the Atlanta Community Food Bank. By the end of the month, we raised enough money and food donations to create 2,920 meals! To culminate the month, 9 volunteers from Experience went to the Atlanta Community Food Bank to assist in packing boxes of donations for families with food insecurities. During that time, we packaged 9,191 pounds of goods which helped generate 6,148 meals for people in our community.
Boys & Girls Club (December & May)
Experience has partnered with the Chamblee Boys & Girls Club for over 5 years. From taking the kids to Braves games and the Circus, to going to the Club to volunteer at events, we’ve loved interacting with the kids there and spreading some cheer. This summer, we volunteered at the end of the year luau party, where we helped organize games, paint faces, and build sandcastles.
In December, we volunteered at their annual Holiday Party, where we provided a cookie decorating station, painted faces, and helped serve dinner for all 120+ kids and their families. Experience also provided 50 gifts for the Boys & Girls Club and had over 30 employees buy gifts for the kids this year.
Atlanta Tech Gives Back (August)
Atlanta Tech Gives Back focuses on connecting technology companies while encouraging them to get out of the office for a little bit and make their community a better place. Experience has partnered with Atlanta Tech Gives Back for many years and this summer we worked at a Global Growers community garden. Our employees went out in the August heat to help mulch and clean up newly planted trees.
Atlanta Community Food Bank & Rise Against Hunger (November)
Leading up to Thanksgiving, Experience held a canned food drive competition within the office to donate to Atlanta Community Food Bank. By the end of the competition, we had hundreds of pounds of food donated! To culminate the food drive, Experience partnered with Rise Against Hunger for the third year in a row. We had over 60 employees chip in to pack 10,152 meals that were sent to families needing aid.
